This is where I transform the sketches into paintings. Not an easy task, as there is normally no colour reference but my memory, experience and a love for the human face.

Melachonly II, 6" x 8", oil on gessoed card, 2008
Another transformation. Some of the colour shifts are not believable- anyway that's because I am working form memory and experience, no reference, just a love for the human face and the blessed opportunity to paint it!
This is my first in this series of paintings in oil.
I am a little bloke with a big heart. I love the LORD cos he made me what I am today. I have a wonderful wife Ruth and a budding painter boy JOSH! He is 7 and a little girl who is 3!
I love sketching the human face, especially the people I meet from day to day, people I may never meet again!
So I sieze the opportunity, it's something that keeps me loving the place we all share.

Your paintings/drawings look real good and I like how you show the process.
Thanks emikk,I am happy you enjoy these pieces.
This blog is also excellent! The way you show all the process and materials involved in the process is also helpful too!
Thanks Andre! Hope to post more this week!
